ME 1670: Introduction to Engineering Graphics and Design

Inspired by the PRAWN suit from the popular game Subnautica, my team and I designed and created a CAD model of SAM: Swiss Army Mech. This project presented a fun opportunity to develop my SOLIDWORKS skills while learning and working with my classmates. This project was a great exercise in completing objectives under tight deadlines.

Evaluating the Long-Term Durability of a 3D-Printed Prosthetic Hand

This was a research project I conducted to quantitatively evaluate the durability of an open-source pediatric prosthetic hand known as the Phoenix V2 to identify weak points in the design. To do this, I designed and fabricated a test bench to actuate the hand up to 20,000 times to simulate wear over an extended period of time. I also developed a systematic quantitative method of evaluating wear on components that were identified as most likely to fail.

I presented my findings at several regional science fairs, including the annual Regeneron WESEF science fair in Westchester NY.
