HyTech Racing

HyTech Racing is a student lead organization that designs and builds an all-electric vehicle that annually competes in Formula SEA competitions, Placed 3rd Nationally in 2022. Hytech's most recent vehicle, HT08, holds the North American record for accleration and skidpad!

Controls Subteam Member (HT08)

As a member of the controls subteam, I worked on components of the car that the driver interacts with directly. This includes the steering wheel, steering column, pedal box, and braking system. More specifically, I worked on designing most for various sensors around the car and brake rotor weight reduction.

HT06:

3rd Place at FSAE Michigan 2022

Composites Subteam Co-Lead/Member (HT06, HT07)

As a composites subteam member, I participated in the design, planning, and construction of composite components on 2 of HyTech Racing's recent cars: HT06 and HT07. Composite components were created using Carbon Fiber, Kevlar, Fiberglass, and hybrid composite materials.

I also used Ansys Advanced Composites Prep (ACP) to simulate key composite components, such as the seat, prior to fabrication. These simulations helped us optimize ply schedules for each part, reducing weight without compromising structural integrity.
